My Process.

Welcome to Rmi Interiors. We are a Hamilton-based interior design studio, enhancing designs that elevate any home with a personalized aesthetic that embraces the practicality of daily life.

Scope and fee estimate.

We will sit down and have an initial meeting with you at either my design studio or your home to work through your project and areas that you need my design input. A detailed estimate is then created, where I will itemise the areas of work, time and cost involved in the project.

Design Brief.

Upon approval of the fee estimate, I will then establish your preferred style and establish with you your practical needs and preferences. We will then work through the plans in more detail and discuss what aspects you wish to include in the design, if you have any imagery that illustrates your style aesthetic this is always helpful to bring along.

Concept.

I then begin to concentrate on the general style of your interior. We work through your plans and consider all aspects of your design, including the spatial layout of your kitchen, bathrooms, living room and furniture. I then create a presentation of imagery ideas that support this -with relevant samples for your you to sit down and view.

Furniture and Product Design.

I strive to design well-considered, aesthetically driven pieces while not overlooking functionality. Collaborating with local tradespeople and artisans to handcraft furniture. Each piece can be customised to work with existing or planned spaces.

Decor and Styling.

Attention to detail creates a unique interior and is accentuated throughout the detailed styling of each project. Custom-designed furniture is beautifully mixed with a selection of artwork, accessories and furnishings, all complementing the client's existing pieces.

Space Planning.

The success of many interior design projects is based on spatial awareness and understanding. I look beyond the obvious and explore the operational and physical requirements of different spaces and how that can influence the design layout of the home.

Sourcing and Procurement.

I like looking beyond the obvious and creating a unique and individual direction suited to each project. Having knowledge and the ability to access an extensive range of materials and suppliers results in a level of finish to meet every client's expectations.
